DuPage Legal Assistance Foundation oversees the DuPage Legal Aid Service and was incorporated as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization in 1975. DuPage Legal Aid is dedicated to providing the highest level of legal representation possible to lower income residents of DuPage County in many areas of the law. Our stated purposes are to "assist persons and community organizations to secure legal protection against injustice and to obtain due process of law and the equal protection of the laws; to promote knowledge of the law and of legal process, rights and responsibilities among the poor and the general public; to study the use of law and legal process to combat poverty and poor living conditions; and to provide counsel to persons and groups seeking these ends."
